Exterior Paint Color
Surveys show that Americans are conservative in their preference of exterior house colors. Thirty-four percent prefer white and another twenty-eight percent prefer a shade of beige. (I have read similar results from a Sears national survey, but I have only found second-hand references to it.)
If you think you might sell your house before painting again, it would be best to select a color that appeals to the broadest group of potential buyers. Choosing a color that has limited appeal may reduce the number of people that will even consider your house.
